미국의 싱어송라이터 Taylor Swift(테일러 스위프트)는 데뷔작 [Taylor Swift]로 빌보드 앨범 차트 5위에 오르며 총 5백만 장 이상의 판매고와 두 번째 정규 앨범인 [Fearless]를 통해 컨트리 장르의 스타를 넘어 세계적인 스타로 자리 잡게 된다.

 

록과 포크, 팝 음악의 요소를 적극적으로 받아들인 이 앨범은 총 8백만 장 이상 판매되는 대성공을 거두었고, 'Love Story', 'You Belong with Me', 'Fearless' 등과 같은 히트곡을 잇달아 배출했다. 인기에 힘입어 2009년 "아메리칸 뮤직 어워드"에서 올해의 가수상을 비롯한 다섯 부문을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
