Darley-A_Men

Darley의 솔로 EP [A-Men] [Tunnel Out Vision](2014) 이후 7년만의 솔로 EP 앨범으로 돌아온 Darley의 움직임이 심상치 않다. [Darley's Masterclass/ Show Returns](2014)에서 부터 전 음역대를 자유롭게 넘나드는 재지하고 소울풀한 보컬을 들려주었던 그의 목소리가 보다 다양한 장르로 새로운 도약을 앞두고 있기 때문이다.

 

이번 앨범의 커버에서 알 수 있듯, 낡은 공을 엮어 깡통 비행선을 만들고 케케묵은 빈티지 셋업 정장 차림을 한 시골 쥐가 서울로 상경하는 모습을 그려낸 데에 그의 음악적 변화를 함축적으로 읽는 재미가 있다.

이전과는 전혀 다른 세상으로 도착한 것만 같은 시골 쥐는 앞으로 어떤 도시 문명을 만날까. 아티스트로서 Darley의 행보가 기대된다.
